The refurbishment of El Boulevard Shopping Centre, designed and managed by KREAN, won the ‘Mapic Award 2025’ in the ‘Best Refurbishment Project’ category.

CBRE Global Investors, owner of El Boulevard Shopping Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz, received the ‘Mapic Award’ in Cannes for the best renovation project in the international retail sector at a ceremony held on 4 November 2025.

The comprehensive refurbishment of El Boulevard Shopping Centre, with an investment of €21.6 million, has strengthened its leading position. With completely redesigned spaces with a human, sustainable and innovative approach: an internationally award-winning giant 3D screen, 300 m² of playgrounds, a new food court, technological rest areas and a work centre, it has become a benchmark space. This transformation has prioritised efficiency, with eco-friendly materials, smart LED lighting, rainwater collection, electric lifts and a photovoltaic plant; and diversity, with accessible toilets for ostomates and inclusive signage.
