- URAGUA, a solution for water reuse in the community
URAGUA is KREAN's new brand for the commercialisation and projection of community water reuse solutions.
URAGUA is an innovative and sustainable solution for the recovery and reuse of wastewater, based on the creation of water communities that need this water for agricultural, urban or industrial use by local companies. URAGUA is a solution that combines engineering and development knowledge.
URAGUA generates a community reuse of water from a wastewater treatment plant, in which the central axis is agricultural use, complementing other uses of the surroundings such as:
- Public use for street washing and garden irrigation.
- Industrial use, providing companies with a new source of water.
- Recreational use such as golf courses
In this way the regeneration covers more months of the year and the number of beneficiaries is greater, being able to better pass on the investment and operating costs. And the users of the community receive the optimum water for their use, after the appropriate treatment has been carried out.
URAGUA provides the technical projects and carries out the necessary procedures to be able to build the reclamation station as quickly as possible. All this is carried out in the following 5 steps:
- Interest and location: specific analysis of the implementation of Uragua solutions. Preliminary technical and economic study of the quality and flow of the treatment plant, and of the water needs in the surrounding area.
- Project and permits: management of the necessary permits for the solution, structuring the project legally and administratively. Drawing up agreements and contracts for its implementation.
- Financing: search for the financing model specific to the environment studied. Search for subsidies. Investment proposal.
- Construction: assembly of the water reclamation station with the technology and treatments necessary to achieve the water quality required by current regulations depending on the intended use.
- Operation: development of the most appropriate operating model for the plant in each case.
URAGUA is seeking formulas between the Public Administrations and interested private parties to be able to finance the works and start up the regeneration plant.
For some months now, contact has been made with Administrations, farmers and industries to be able to start up a first real experience.
