KREAN offsets its 2024 carbon footprint through the BOSQUE GALICIA I project.

As in previous years, KREAN has registered the calculation, reduction and offsetting of its carbon footprint in the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC) Registry, once again obtaining the triple seal CALCULATE + REDUCE + OFFSET.

The OECC has verified the calculations submitted by KREAN for scopes 1 and 2 (direct and indirect emissions from electricity consumption) and has confirmed a 15% reduction compared to the previous period. It has also validated the absorption project used this year to offset our remaining footprint.

In 2025, we have removed 180 tonnes of CO₂ corresponding to the 2024 footprint through the BOSQUE GALICIA I project, managed by CO2 Revolution, in which we are participating for the third consecutive year. This reforestation project is being carried out on 98.89 hectares of the Mano Común de Couso community of communal forests, in the municipality of Avión (Ourense), with the aim of restoring areas affected by fires through carbon capture and storage. The new forest cover also contributes to soil protection, reducing water erosion and promoting infiltration.

Between 2023 and 2025, KREAN has offset a total of 525 tonnes of CO₂, mainly derived from travel between offices and journeys to construction sites. It should be noted that our offices no longer generate indirect emissions thanks to the exclusive use of photovoltaic energy from our EKIAN plant.

This action is part of our decarbonisation strategy and reaffirms KREAN's commitment to sustainability, integrating responsible and verified measures throughout our activity.
