Reducing emissions.

Scope 1 (Direct emissions): 157.33 metric tons of CO2 equivalent (tCO2eq)

Scope 2 (Indirect emissions from electricity consumption): 23,47 tCO2eq

Since 2015, we have been calculating and reducing our carbon footprint by registering the project with the Spanish Office for Climate Change.

In the last period reviewed by the OECC, the three-year period 2022-2024, we have achieved an average reduction of 15.54% compared to the previous equivalent period: the three-year period 2021-2023. Since the first year for which data is available, 2009, KREAN's absolute emissions have been reduced by more than 65%.

In 2025, we obtained the seal and certificate from the Spanish Office for Climate Change for the registration, reduction and offsetting of our carbon footprint for the year 2024.

The scope of the reported emissions includes direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) resulting from electricity and gas consumption for our entire Professional Services business, which includes the parent company KREAN, S.COOP. and the subsidiary KREAN ECS INDUSTRIAL PLANTS, S.L.U.

Offsetting emissions.

We have offset the 2024 carbon footprint through an OECC-recognised absorption project.

We have removed 180Tn from the BOSQUE GALICIA I absorption project (Code: 2024-b094) managed by the company CO2 Revolution S.L.

This is a reforestation project of 98.89 hectares in the community of neighbouring forests of Mano Común de Couso, Concello de Avión, Orense. This reforestation aims to achieve the ecological restoration of the area, contributing to mitigate the effects of climate change through carbon capture and storage.

In addition, the new stand will play a fundamental role in soil protection, reducing the risk of water erosion and improving soil infiltration conditions. The mixture of species used in the reforestation will break the horizontal continuity of crowns typical of a plantation, which in many cases is responsible for the spread of fire.

Action Plan and Ongoing Commitment

For the 2025–2028 strategic period, we plan to progressively expand the scope of our carbon footprint to include the entire group, as well as, gradually, Scope 3 emissions—indirect emissions from the value chain.
