Preparation and updating of disaster risk management plans for the provision of water, sewerage and solid waste management public services in two urban areas of the Colombian Pacific coast.

Synopsis:  

The work undertaken in conjunction with the international company, ITAC, and the local company, Integral, was aimed at formulating the Disaster Risk Management Plan (DRMP) for the municipality of San Andrés de Tumaco (Nariño) and revising that of Guapi (Cauca).

The Disaster Risk Management Plan focuses on the infrastructure for the provision of water and drainage public services in municipal urban areas, in accordance with the guidelines and regulations in force for the sector and in agreement with the service providers and the Municipal DRM Councils.

Work was aimed specifically at risk management assessment, hazard zoning in risk analysis and the preparation of risk management plans.
